“I advise Syria and Hizbullah not to test us. Israel is still the strongest nation within 1,500 kilometers of Jerusalem,” stated Defense Minister Ehud Barak during his meeting on Sunday with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Jerusalem.
Barak stated Israel will not tolerate hostilities from Hizbullah, responding to recent threats from the terror organization and well as statements released from Damascus.
Israeli officials are monitoring the situation with concern as Hizbullah continues enlisting thousands of new fighters, as well as arming itself with longer range and increasingly sophisticated missiles.
Defense officials add that Syria remains the primary weapons supplier to Hizbullah.
