Minister of Communications (Likud) Ayoub Kara last week visited Dubai, a visit that ended out being a diplomatic event as he was detained in the airport as he was planning to leave that country. As a result of being detained, he missed his flight, KAN 11 News reported.

According to the report, the minister attended a communications conference in Dubai, and was planning to return home last Thursday, 23 Marcheshvan, and he was detained and missed his flight, leading to a diplomatic incident. It appears that he was late arriving at the airport and he did not comply with instructions from security personnel in the airport.

As a result, he was delayed for hours, leading to great embarrassment. Officials took his passport, which prevented him from boarding his scheduled flight. Local officials however explain the delay was the result of his tardy arrival at the airport.
