HaGaon HaRav Bentzion Mutzafi, a prominent Sephardi posek in Eretz Yisrael, lashed out against former Shas leader Eli Yishai, who now runs the Yachad party headed by HaGaon HaRav Meir Mazuz, Rosh Yeshivat Kisei Rachamim. Rav Mutzafi called Yishai, “The major rebel against Gedolei Yisrael”.
Rav Mutzafi added there were others who during the life of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L rebelled against him “בריש גלי”, publicly. They “embittered Maran’s life” he adds, and today, they continue doing so. Rav Mutzafi explained that because of Yishai, 120,000 votes were trashed, votes from the Sephardi tzibur. The rav added it is clear, “That in Shomayim they don’t want him”.
The Yachad party said in response: “Throughout his life, Eli Yishai has enjoyed the full backing of Maran, HaGaon HaRav Yosef ZT”L, and throughout his years he has not left his words to the right or left. It is not for nothing that Maran writes about him in 14 seforim, ‘בכל ביתי נאמן הוא’.
“Today, Eli Yishai obeys the Rosh Yeshiva, HaGaon HaRav Mazuz Shlita, and prefers to be ‘one of those who are insulted and not insulting.’”

Eli Yishai has the sin of being an honest hard working politician and was ousted from Shas by Deri, the greatest dealer in and of corruption. So now the Rabbis have sunk down to the pits of corruption too?
Funnily enough, I really feel for Yishai. He strikes me as extremely honest and hard working. I’ve also met him in person and he was a really normal guy to talk to. Deri is a waaay better politician though, so he’s gonna be the one to lead shas, that’s just life.
Sounds just like the daily going ons in america between the demo- Rat libs and the repubs.
if you fly near the treif bird Deri, you are suspected to be treif. deri and netanyahu need adjacent cells where should rot together.
