PA Leader Makes an Appeal to Arab Brethren at Arab League Summit

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) in his passionate address to the Arab League summit hosted in Damascus on Saturday called on the world Arab community, as well as the international community, to send a peacekeeping force to Gaza to protect the PA from IDF forces.

The move marks the first time Abu Mazen called on Arab nations to send troops, following his usual line of placing the blame for the continued warfare on Israel while shirking any and all responsibility.

Interestingly, Abu Mazen, who is affiliated with the Fatah terror organization, has little-to-no influence on events in Gaza, which was stolen away from him by political nemesis, the Hamas terror faction.

Nevertheless, the so-called moderate leader of the PA is now seeking to use the situation in Gaza to improve his standing both in the international scene as well as with Hamas’ Prime Minister Ismail Haniyah.
