The rainfall expected earlier Thursday, 16 Marcheshvan, arrived in southern Israel during the afternoon hours. Heavy rain hit the area and Route 90 was flooded from Nachal Paran, accompanied by sand storms in some areas too.
One can see the flow of water resume as rainfall has already arrived in Nachal Arugot in the Masada area during the afternoon hours.
Hazy skies are moving in and rainfall and hail were reported in areas of the Upper Galil and thundershowers are predicted for Golan Heights areas.
Forecasters are predicting hail, intermittent thundershowers, strong wind gusts, lightening in the south and center of the nation, along with flash flood warnings for low-lying areas. Temperatures will drop significantly, and heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected in the Western Galil.
The heavy rains and wind gusts are expected to reach the Jerusalem area sometime during the late afternoon/early evening hours Thursday, with the storm expecting to dissipate Friday morning.
Shabbos is expected to be a pleasant day with a slight increase in temperatures.
