Agricultural officials are still being kept busy by the influx of locusts, now reported in three areas of the southern region. This includes near Kadesh Barnea, Kibbutz Ruchama and Revivim. There are “millions” according to a Tuesday evening Rosh Chodesh Nissan 5773 Channel 2 News report.

Crop dusting planes have been used along with ‘ground forces’ to douse them with pesticides, which have now led to fears of harming livestock and pets in the area.

Ministry of Agriculture officials explain additional swarms have arrived, now significantly closer to Tel Aviv and the center of the county and efforts to eradicate them with pesticides will continue amid a realization there are tens of millions of locusts in Israel today.
