Police on Monday night, the eve of 7 Marcheshvan, arrested a suspect believed responsible for holding up a Jerusalem post office in the center of the city on Sunday.

Crime scene investigators operated on the scene of the postal branch to gather evidence following the robbery.

The suspect in custody is described by police as a male in his 30s. He was questioned and scheduled to be arraigned in a Jerusalem court on Tuesday, at which time police asked to extend his incarceration as the investigation against him continues.
