An approximately 50-year-old security guard in Ir David on Thursday morning accidentally discharged his weapon and was transported to the trauma unit of Shaare Zedek Hospital in the city in light-to-moderate condition.

According to the Magen David Adom report, the call came in at 9:00AM, and the incident occurred on Maalot Street in Ir David, listing the guard in light-to-moderate condition.

The incident is being investigated by police.
