Due to a ‘security incident’ along the Gaza border, Route 446 near the Natuf Quarry on Thursday morning, 3 Marcheshvan, the road was closed to civilian vehicles.

Four burning tires were placed in the roadway, with a LP gas cylinder inside one of them in the hope it would explode from the heat and pressure. This led to a significant vehicular backup in the area. B’chasdei Hashem the intended bomb did not lead to any fatalities or injuries.

Baruch Hashem the event was addressed and the ‘all clear’ was given without any injuries resulting from the incident. Farmers report their work in the fields was not affected by the security incident.
