A Jerusalem police spokesman reports on Wednesday, 24 Tishrei, that the department has filed a statement with the court regarding the fatal hit and run that took place in Jerusalem on 15 Tishrei.
The case referred to is the chareidi man who was struck and killed near Paris Square as he was returning from the Kosel on the first night of Sukkos. Pianist Chaim Tukachinsky Z”L was killed. The driver was a Spanish journalist visiting in Israel, Julio De LaGuardia, who remains in custody.
Now, Israel Police filed a statement with the court against the suspect who was questioned on suspicion of manslaughter, abandonment and drunken driving, in which the suspect’s detention was extended by five days during which the prosecution is expected to file an indictment.
