A tragedy has befallen the Gerrer tzibur in Israel on Shabbos with the petira of 43-year-old Esther Levy A”H, who succumbed to a difficult illness. She is survived by her husband and nine children.

The nifteres was Niftar in Bnei Brak’s Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital during Shabbos. She was the daughter of יבלחט”א HaChossid R’ Yaakov Yosef Girsh, a resident of the Gur community of Bnei Brak. Her husband is HaChossid R’ Simcha Levy, of the Gur tzibur in Ashdod. He is the head of the Levy Marketing Company, which supplies cash registers and business equipment.

Of their nine children, only one daughter is married.

The levaya was held on motzei Shabbos and kvura was in the Bnei Brak Cemetery.
