In the accompanying photos, we see Likud MK Yehuda Glick visiting Har Habayis, having received permission to do so before Rosh Hashanah. There are restrictions regulating visits to the holy site for Members of Knesset and cabinet ministers.
Prior to being elected to Knesset, Glick was a fulltime Har Habayis activist and still leads efforts to make the holy site more accessible to Jews, as well as removing control of the site from the Muslim Waqf Authority.
It should be noted that Gedolei Yisrael throughout the generations along with the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, have prohibited visiting Har Habayis as there is an Issur Kares.
