Israel responded immediately following a Grad rocket attack into Ashkelon on Tuesday morning 16 Adar 5773.

Israel ordered the closure of the Kerem Shalom Crossing and it is limiting the Erez Crossing to humanitarian goods only until further notice. Military officials in Israel explained the crossings from southern Israel to Gaza would resume normal operational activity “in line with the assessment of the security situation”.
