A 13-year-old boy R”L was struck and killed by a vehicle on Derech Bar Lev in Yerushalayim on Monday night, near the tziyun of Shimon HaTzaddik in the Sheikh Jarah area of the eastern capital. The boy was transported to Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital, a short distance away, in critical condition. He was pronounced dead on arrival.
United Hatzalah EMT Menahem Leff, said: “Together with an ambulance team of United Hatzalah, we began CPR on the child who had severe multisystem trauma and he was then transported to a nearby hospital.
MDA Spokesman Zaki Heller stated: “At 23:18, a Magen David Adom (MDA) received the call for a child struck by a car on Pierre van Fassen Street near the Olive Hotel Square in Jerusalem. He was in very serious condition.”
Police are investigating.
