A border police spokesman on Tuesday morning, 10 Elul, reported the arrest of a suspect and the apprehension of cash belonging to Hamas in Gaza.

Intelligence information led border police troops to operational activity in the Shuafat refugee camp, where they found a suspect, a male in his 40s, with NIS 30,000, terrorist funds sent to him by Hamas in Gaza.

The soldiers who saw the suspect leave the Shuafat refugee camp, followed him, leading to his arrest. According to suspicions, the money was sent to him as payment as one member of his family, a well-known Hamas activist, is serving a prison term in an Israeli prison.
