With Purim just days away, intelligence community officials report seven credible warnings of planned terror attacks.
While on any given day there are tens of general terror alerts, at times, the GSS (General Security Service/ Shin Bet) and other intelligence agencies succeed in gathering information pointing to specific planned attacks, labeling them credible terror warnings.
Israel Police has already responded, now operating on a level III status, one level below a state of emergency. MDA, Israel’s emergency medical service provider is also remaining on heightened alert, especially in sensitive areas such as the capital.
Defense Minister Ehud Barak is expected to clamp a closure on Palestine Authority residents of Yehuda and Shomron over the long Purim weekend, a move that entails prohibiting PA residents from crossing the Green Line into pre-1967 Israel. Exceptions are of course made for humanitarian concerns, such as people requiring medical treatment and so-forth.
Many of the security concerns revolve around the culmination of the 40-day Islamic mourning period for slain senior Hizbullah commander Imad Mughniyeh, which more-or-less coincides with the Purim weekend, providing terror organizations with additional motivation to perpetrate and attack at this time to mar the Jewish holiday.
Thousands of police troops along with various volunteer agencies operating under Israel Police auspices will be deployed in major cities, with an emphasis placed on high-profile public areas such as shopping malls.

There is something entirely inapropriate with an article about credible terror alerts and a picture of an upside down clown next to it. Rather insensitive.
Yidden All Over the World should take this warning to heart in their own neighborhoods.
Chas Vesholom 100 times. Hashem Yishmor.
But we can’t put our heads in the sand (ie. ostrich). Especially on Purim (vehamaivin yovin). And especially big crowds.
