A 55-year-old wedding guest suddenly collapsed after losing consciousness while he was dancing at a wedding in the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Jerusalem on Wednesday night. The wedding was being held at the Mondial wedding hall and was being attended by many Chareidi guests.
The Chareidi man who collapsed was treated at the scene by United Hatzalah emergency medical volunteers and was listed as being in serious condition.
United Hatzalah Volunteer EMT Rabbi Daniel Katzenstein who was a guest at the wedding and one of the volunteers that treated the man said: “I was attending my niece’s wedding when all of a sudden one of the guests from the Chosson’s side lost consciousness and collapsed. I immediately ran over to begin providing first aid treatment while other guests called United Hatzalah’s emergency number of 1221 to request additional emergency responders who were nearby with equipment and an ambulance.”
Katzenstein added: “In less than a minute from the time the call was placed, other volunteers began to arrive. The man was taken in an intensive care ambulance to the hospital in serious condition.”
Due to his medical condition, the man collapsed and sustained an injury to his head.
A name for Tehillim was not available.
