Police in Beit Shemesh have begun an all-out-manhunt for a group of armed robbers who are suspected of stealing thousands of shekels worth of merchandise from a jewelry store in the city.
The police were called after witnesses saw assailants with covered faces emerge from a jewelry store in the city with rags covering their faces and brandishing weapons. According to the store clerk, the assailants threatened the staff with guns and then fled from the scene.
A large number of police officers have been spread throughout the city and have set up checkpoints on all major roadways exiting the city in order to prevent the assailants from escaping.
