In the past few weeks, seven incidents of burglaries have taken place in homes and businesses, all in a moshav in the Sharon region.
When the complaints were received, an intensive investigation was opened, during which it became clear that the defendant broke into homes, often surprised the residents of the house while they were at home. In all the burglaries, the suspect stole a total of about NIS 1,000 from the owners’ wallets.
A strenuous investigation by police investigators led to the collection of evidence against the suspect and last Thursday, an indictment was filed against him and a request for his detention until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
The Petah Tikva Youth Peace Court released the suspect under restrictive conditions, including full house arrest. He is described as a 12-year-old boy.

I heard once from a master educator that children need to be given a regular allowance. I also heard from a parent, teacher, and guidance counselor that giving children the opportunity to earn money is very important. Finally I heard from a Rebbe and another Rebbe’s son that children need to be made to feel secure that their parents can and will support them (i.e. provide them with their basic needs).
