Thousands of avreichim and talmidei yeshivos affiliated with the Peleg Yerushalmi faction held tefilos on a city street Friday night, tefilos that turned into a showing of support for the Sephardi talmid yeshiva who was arrested last week by the military police for failing to report to an induction center, and is now serving his sentence in a military prison.
In Bnei Brak, supporters of the Peleg davened at the intersection of Rabbi Akiva and Hashomer Streets and in Kiryat Sefer they davened on Chafetz Chayim Street near the Heichal Yitzchak Shul.
In an ad published in the newspaper on erev Shabbos, the public was called by the “Committee to Save the World of Torah” to gather on the erev Shabbos for be “MeKadesh Shem Shomayim and Kabolas Shabbos Kodesh on the streets of a city.”
According to persons who saw the event, the tefilla in Modi’in Illit turned into a real protest outside the beis medrash of the mora d’asra of the city, HaGaon HaRav Meir Kessler Shlita, and when davening ended, they began shouting insults at him.
According to many avreichim who were witness to the spectacle, “The protestors crossed a red line by turning a protest tefilla event into cries and scolding against a Rov and Moreh Halacha, and this crosses all borders”.

For once I agree with them. They have a really good reason & their voices should be heard as well as those of many who just keep quiet because they are too afraid to speak up.
It’s disgusting what is happening in Modiin Ilit.
peleg and their leaders ( I do not want to use word ‘rabbi’) should be banned and put in cherim for their violent demonstrations that cause much hardship to people.
Can you imagine riff raff like peleg trying to influence the Chashom Sofer or Rabbi Akiva Eiger or Rav Moshe, etc, to change their p’saks???
“Save the world of Torah”…
They should look what they have done to disfigure the world of Torah first.

These thugs are not interested in Kedushas Shabbos, nor in Kiddush Shem Shomayim. They are just thirsting for violence and bizayon of Talmidei Chachomim. Such a shame that they do so in the approach to Elul, where they should be busy with Ratzon Hashem.
I would hope that these animals get arrested, and spend Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in prison, far from any shul where they daven to HKB”H. Their evil ways are antithetical to whatever Elul and Yomm Noraim stand for. The public needs to be protected from this evil.
Dont be משדך with any of these peleg families who cross such lines as in this story of modiin elite.
Shame on them and on thier leaders who allow it.

So that when we’re told to do teshuva, especially in upcoming Elul, we know why…

If anyone has ever lived in Kiryat Sefer in the early days, you’d all know that this MARA (bitter) is a “brillant” mafia man who brought this peleg onto himself. He created segregation between yidden of every kind, especially those who were not %100 like him (i.e. sephardim, chassidim, etc.) & was appointed after his father past away w/o any merit to his “geonut.” He also invited Rav Orbach zt”l to give speeches in attended those for his own fame. Most of the worst extremists come out of modiin “elite” & again, this man in the pic is oved et etzmo.
