After the claims made by Jerusalem City Councilor Aryeh King, which were published by Kippa at the height of the union between the Bayit Yehudi and Ichud Leumi in Jerusalem, it seems that the trouble is brewing from within.
An agreement was signed between Bayit Yehudi and Ichud Leumi whereby the person who will be in charge of the finance portfolio is Bayit Yehudi’s Chagit Moshe, and she will lead the combined list as well. The second slot on the joint ticket would be assigned to a representative of Ichud Leumi. However, it seems that the person who will be placed in second place is Yehuda Freudiger, a member of Bayit Yehudi, MyNet reported, based on information received on internal party activists WhatsApp groups.
Kippa published earlier in the week that Aryeh Kind signed a deal with Ichud Leumi, but it now appears that agreement was canceled. King was surprised that such a deal had been forged between the Bayit Yehudi and Ichud Leumi and called for a “national imitation” agreement.
Yehuda Freudiger said in response: “My being a member of Bayit Yehudi was known, there is no difference between my views and the views of Ichud Leumi members, and I was asked in the past to be King’s No. 2 and it did not bother him.”
Ichud Leumi said in response: “The integration of the forces between Bayit Yehudi and Ichud Leumi will contribute a great deal. We prefer not to be dragged into a discourse of accusations and lies. Yehuda Freudiger is a worthy person with extensive public activity and reflects our hashkafa”.
