On Wednesday, 20 Menachem Av, a protest is scheduled to take place outside the United Nations complex in Jerusalem corresponding with August 1st on the Gregorian calendar, marking four years since the killing and kidnapping of Lt. Hadar Goldin HY”D in fighting in Rafiach, Gaza, during Operation Protective Edge, in the summer of 2014. Also killed and his remains taken by Hamas terrorists was Sgt. Oren Shaul HY”D.
The Goldin family together with the volunteer staff of “Misdar Hadar“, will be organizing a demonstration/event opposite the United Nations facility in Jerusalem. Hadar Goldin was kidnapped from a terror tunnel during a UN ceasefire initiated by the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon. The UN did not and has not taken responsibility for the kidnapping and has not demanded from Hamas to return Hadar Goldin’s remains.
In addition, the UN continues to support Gaza and Hamas.
This demonstration/event will include at 9:00AM a moment of silence at the time that the kidnapping took place.
Following this, Hadar’s mother, Dr. Leah Goldin will speak in the presence of the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov.
The Goldin family will demand from the UN to act in accordance with international law, to take responsibility for the kidnapping of Hadar and to return the boys home in accordance with basic humanitarian rights.
