In the previous article, YWN-Israel reported that Avi Feiglin, a son of former Likud MK and Manhigut Yehudit party leader Moshe Feiglin, called to disobey orders that will place soldiers at unnecessary risk to prevent injury to rioters along the Gaza border and elsewhere.
With Avi serving in the Kfir infantry brigade, he called on his fellow soldiers to refuse orders that would place them in life-threatening danger to avoid injury to Arabs involved in violence and confrontations, as often seen along the Gaza border and areas of Yehuda and Shomron.
In the accompanying video, Moshe Feiglin explains that while his son was removed from his combat unit, as well as receiving what is called “conditional jail term”, he adds, “Today he is still engaged in combat, a more serious battle that is required today…he is fighting for the lives of soldiers…most of those killed in past years fell on the altar of baseless ideology of sacrificing the lives of our soldiers to the benefit of this hostile population.”
Feiglin is confident there will be many who follow his son, and it will be these young men who establish a new and clear moral line to replace the absurd situation that exists today.
