The Jerusalem mayoral race is underway and one of the candidates is Moshe Leon, a shomer Shabbos candidate from the dati leumi community who is a veteran to the Jerusalem city council and the working of City Hall.

Leon, who is making his second bid to become the mayor of Yerushalayim, has not given up on getting the backing of the chareidi sector despite last week’s announcement by the chareidi candidate, Yossi Deutsch, officially entering the mayor race.

Leon was photographed on Sunday night meeting in a restaurant with chareidi journalists as part of his ongoing effort to receive the backing of frum voters. In the photo are journalists Avi Greentzeig, Shlomi Gil, Rafi Perlstein, Avi Ravina, Chaim Friedlander, Ari Kalman, Yisrael Frei and Shimon Libarti.
