MK Michael Malchieli of Shas, in a sharp attack against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, “You cannot trust him.”

During a symposium held Wednesday evening, at a camp sponsored by Yeshivas Siach Yosef in the north, MK Michael Malchieli and MK (Likud) Oren Hazan held a debate. The event was mediated by Moshe Glasner of Kol Berama Radio.

MK Malchieli slammed PM Netanyahu: “Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu cannot be relied upon…. The Shas party has to watch over him to protect the religious and social sectors, when we were not with him, he took with him the two Ashkenazim; Bennett and Lapid and look what happened.”

Additional quotes from Malchieli’s words spurred MK Hazan to defend his party chairman: “Shas cannot rely on any party, and certainly not the Likud. During this term, your party (the Likud) wants to promote Lieberman’s conversion law, the Lapid recruitment law and the Reform movement at the Kosel.”

“Netanyahu went to topple the government because of the Shabbos Law,” Malchieli said of the supermarket law, “without Minister Deri there would be no Shabbos in the country. He saved it.”
