Officials on Sunday morning announced there was a leak in the Eilat-Ashkelon gas line which created a precarious situation for residents of Ashkelon. Officials explain there were concerns that a rocket fired from Hamas-controlled Gaza could have created an explosion as a result of the major area gas leak. The leak in the gas line has been repaired according to the Israel Radio report.
