The Jerusalem Municipality is opening a new support center for the opening of the school year.
The Education Administration of the Jerusalem Municipality will, for the first time, open an expanded telephone line for the parents’ questions before the start of the school year.
Every year September 1st arrives and it raises many questions for the parents and students regarding the placement, transportation, school hours at the beginning of the year and more.
The Education Administration (JEA) of the Jerusalem Municipality identified the need and decided to provide a human response, which will begin operating from the beginning of August and will provide a solution for the parents of students from all three sectors – state and state religious, Arab and chareidi.
The 106 municipal hotline will be staffed by representatives of the JEA, who will respond to callers on these issues on Sundays to Thursdays during the day. Matters which will require the handling of other municipal bodies, will be transferred by them directly as necessary.
Aviv Keinan, who is in charge of education in the capital explains, “For us, opening an excellent year means opening a year in which we provide the best solution for all the residents. Beyond building a classroom or purchasing a computer for a school, we are responsible for parents also receiving a human, warm and genuine response to their concerns. I am proud and happy to present the telephone response and to be an attentive ear to the residents of Jerusalem”.
