Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman has decided to open the Kerem Shalom Crossing to Gaza for limited items, beginning at noon on Tuesday, 12 Menachem Av. He has given the okay to bring fuel and Gaza along with food and medicines.

The decision is explained; that Hamas has not succeeded in totally halting balloon bombs and fire kites over the border but attempts to maintain a low level of them as well as friction along the border fence.

Lieberman has issued the order to open the crossing in coming days in line with activities in Gaza, expressing a willingness to permit a total of resumption of activities at the crossing if attacks are halted completely.
