THE TERROR CONTINUES: 26 New Fires Blaze in Israel’s South Due to Kite and Balloon Bombs on Wednesday

Another day of Kite and Balloon bombs from Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip passed over Southern Israel on Wednesday, as 26 more fires were set by incendiary devices launched from the strip. An additional two fires blazed inside the strip after kite bombs aimed at Israel landed on the Gaza side of the fence. Most of the fires occurred in fields around the townships located in the Gaza periphery.

“Hamas terrorists are continuing t attack our fields with balloon and kite bombs unabated,” said the 0404 media site in Israel.

On Monday, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman decided to close the Kerem Shalom crossing preventing all goods and supplies except for medicines from entering Gaza as a punishment for the kite and balloon bombs. So far, the tactic has not seemed to work as Hamas has continued to launch their bombs without pause.

Firefighters and Keren Kayemet L”Yisroel workers succeeded in putting out all of the fires, in a quick manner, as in many areas there is little fuel left for the fires to burn.

On Tuesday, one incendiary balloon landed in a kindergarten.

  1. Why not monitor the border. Then if a kite or balloon is sighted and released, have a set of four small drones
with a net between them come in underneath and snag the kite and bring it down to a safe spot or better yet drop it back down in Gaza. Just a thought.
