Jerusalem police in a weekend crackdown, apprehended 17 DWI drivers in the capital, of which, 16 licenses were suspended, and 12 vehicles impounded. This is part of the Israel Police’s persistent campaign of road enforcement, with effective and a determined emphasis against life-threatening offenses for all normative road users, as well as creating deterrence that will reduce road accidents and casualties.
As part of the targeted enforcement of traffic police officers in Jerusalem over the weekend, a driver was caught, and an examination showed that the concentration of alcohol in her body was 3.5 times the amount permitted by law.
The female driver, 37, a resident of the capital, was arrested for questioning by the police, her license was revoked, and her vehicle was suspended. She was arraigned on Sunday.
