Jerusalem Police Arrest 44 Suspected Of Perpetrating Attacks In The Capital


Forty-four suspects have been arrested in the past two weeks in eastern Jerusalem for throwing stones, Molotov cocktails and shooting fireworks. On motzei Shabbos, two suspects were apprehended red handed after they threw stones at a Jewish house in the eastern capital.

The Israel Police operates in a variety of ways and means to bring about the arrest and removal of those criminals who harm the security and tranquility of the public’s life.

In the course of the past two weeks, a variety of focused activities were carried out, including intelligence activities and the use of a variety of advanced means. Fifteen suspects were arrested as a result of the police activity, which included police, detectives and border policemen.

The arrest of 29 additional suspects was added to the activity, which, according to the suspicion, was involved in shooting activities, including those aimed at police forces.

All suspects, residents of the eastern capital, including adults and minors, were brought for interrogation. In view of their age, the minors were released with restrictions and some via the court. Three suspects are still detained.
