During the night of Thursday, 22 Tammuz, at the Shuafat Crossing in Jerusalem, border police seized M16 weapons and improvised Carlo weapons concealed in a vehicle and arrested three suspects. The vehicle arrived at the checkpoint from the direction of the Shuafat refugee camp, heading to Jerusalem.

The occupants tried to speed up the soldiers’ examination, claiming that they were in a hurry, leading police to become more suspicious of the vehicle and its occupants. The weapons were found inside a bag in the vehicle.

Bomb demolition technicians were summoned to deal with the contents of the vehicle. The three, all in their 20s, were taken into custody. They were arraigned, and their remand extended on Thursday.
