“You saved my life” exclaimed a tenant saved from a building on fire by police who saw smoke bellowing from the building’s storage rooms.
At about 3:00AM on Monday morning, 19 Tammuz, a police patrol on Refael Alnakaveh Street in Beit Shemesh heard an explosion and then flames coming from storage rooms of a four-story building on the block. They explained there was a great deal of smoke emanating from the building.
The policemen feared the fire was near the LP gas cylinders of the building, deciding there was no time to waste. They began evacuating the occupants of the building immediately, distancing them from the building as the fire department and EMS were responding. Within a few minutes, they succeeded in evacuating the entire building.
At least one resident approached police, thanking them for saving him and other residents. B’chasdei Hashem, no one required medical attention. The fire began as a result of an electric bicycle battery left charging, which exploded and led to the fire.
The video shows the two policemen who detected the fire and decided to act immediately.

Thank you guys.
These heroes are the same public servants who are labeled “nazis” by chareidi jews in rama bet.
You are right. When push comes to shove, when there is a very serious situation, the police are there & they are amazing. But just to keep us safe from all the Arab workers & other potential criminals, to respond to accidents or just to patrol…. there is no sign of them. Even with the police academy 5 minutes away we don’t see them. They need to be patrolling, not just making traffic stops to check driver’s licenses.
