The terrorist responsible for the Motzei Shabbos car-ramming attack near Betar Illit has turned himself over to authorities. The suspect was taken into custody of the Shin Bet for interrogation. [Seen on video attached below]

A Palestinian Authority security source told Haaretz that the suspect, a resident of the Deheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem, insisted it was an accident. Haaretz reported the suspect’s brother was arrested by the Israeli army on Thursday, and it is possible the attack was retibutive.

Two of the four victims of that attack remain hospitalized in Shaare Zedek Hospital Sunday morning for continued observation.

During the night, soldiers, police and border police working in areas of Yehuda and Shomron arrested eight PA residents suspected of involvement in terror attacks and or civil unrest in violent confrontations with Israeli forces.

In Halhul, north of Hebron, thousands of shekels in terrorist funds were confiscated by troops and in Silwad, in the Binyamin region of Shomron, handguns were found and confiscated along with two stun grenades.
