A group of officers serving in the IDF Navy, walking in Geula, Yerushalayim, were attacked by two Chareidi extremists.
Approximately twenty officers were walking together when suddenly, the two began saying something incoherent and then they began to attack while shouting against serving in the IDF.
Police were summoned and when they arrived, assisted the officers in leaving the neighborhood amid shouts against serving in the IDF.

Disgraceful. I am not surprised that no one locally came to their help. Most people in the area are afraid of these terrorist. This is nothing new and has been going on for over a hundred years. Even during the days of the Mandate there were terrorist who would beat up anyone not following their dictates.

this is the real story: there was one bochur in meah shearim who shouted ‘tzioniiii!’ at a group of 20 soldiers and everyone else in the heilige shtetl of geula/mea shearim WENT ON WITH THEIR DAY TO DAY LIVES!
whereas there are easily just as many violations of this sort from any and every camp in judaism

The only way to end this hillul HaShem is to arrest the perpetrators, try them and lock them up for a while. As long as they know they can get away with it, they will continue trying to impress their peers by attacking IDF soldiers. Enforce the laws.
