The IDF Navy on Monday night successfully completed a test of a new torpedo system that was found capable of operational use in the IDF.

In recent months, the navy conducted a series of pre-planned experiments to test the system’s competence. The experiments have trained the torpedo for operational use in the arm and from now on they will be integrated into the submarine fleet of the navy. In the successful experiments, torpedo systems were launched into target ships that simulate an enemy.

The new torpedo systems have more accurate attack capabilities and can reach farther distances. The implementation of the system constitutes a significant step in the strengthening of the arm of the sea and in maintaining the superiority of the IDF in the naval arena.
