Jerusalem Councilman and Deputy Mayor Yossi Deutsch of Agudas Yisrael will be meeting with Moshe Gafne of Degel Hatorah in an effort to persuade him to back his candidacy in the Jerusalem Mayoral race.

According to a Kikar Shabbos report, Deutsch will request to meet with Gafne, to persuade him that he can win the race to reinstate a chareidi mayor in the city.

He will explain that supporting him will result in a very good chance of emerging victorious. He will attempt to persuade Gafne that together, they can defeat the two dati leumi candidates as well as the secular candidate.
