The IDF Spokesperson’s Office said that on Monday, 21 Sivan, training operation “Swift Response” began in Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, with the participation of a paratroopers that would train with the 173rd Brigade of the European Command of the US Army. The United States, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Israel will participate in the exercise, which will include the 173rd Brigade – American Paratroopers Brigade, additional battalions and the Texas National Guard.

This is the first time that the IDF has taken part in an international exercise of the European Command of the United States, which is taking place abroad. The objective of the exercise is to improve the ability for mutual cooperation between the participating armies and during which a practical partnership between the armies and a joint military operation will be practiced.

Simultaneously with this exercise, additional exercises are being conducted by the US Army Command, including “Saber Strike”, in which more than 18,000 fighters from 19 participating countries will participate, including Poland, Germany, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, which will include aircraft and tanks.
