The planned eliminated or reduction in size of the Jerusalem Chareidi Education Unit have been scrapped. The unit is headed by Shas Councilman Tzvika Cohen.

It is being reported that on Thursday, 17 Sivan, it was decided by Mayor Nir Barkat to meet with the chairman of Yahadut Hatorah in the city council, Eliezer Ruchberger. He was informed of the cancelation of the planned elimination of the Chareidi Education Unit.

About a week ago, Yahadut Hatorah asked for a meeting with the mayor, to discuss the planned dismantling of the unit. Kikar Shabbos News reported on Thursday that the planned eliminated has been scrapped.
