How Much Time Do Chareidi Representatives Spend In Knesset


Members of Knesset Uri Maklev (Yahadut Hatorah) and Michael Michaeli (Shas) are the two chareidi elected officials who spent the most time in Knesset last year, more than their chareidi and secular colleagues.

The 100 Day Project released its report on Thursday afternoon, 17 Sivan, address MKs and their hours spent working in Knesset.

The report shows that Maklev heads the list with 2,523 hours, followed in third place by Michaeli with 1,920 hours. Shas leader Minister Aryeh Deri and MK yoav Ben-Tzur (Shas) are in 10th place with 1,651 hours, followed in 15th place by Chairman of the Education Committee (Shas) Yaakov Margi with 1,521 hours. He is followed by Eliezer Menachem Moses with 1,506 hours.

In 23rd place is Yisrael Eichler with 1,392 hours, Yaakov Asher with 1,302 hours, Moshe Gafne with 1,301 hours, and Yitzchak Vaknin in 47th place with 1,195 hours.

In 105th place is Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman, with 570 hours. He is near bottom of the list of chareidi officials. Yesh Atid party leader Yair Lapid trails Litzman with 539 hours. Deputy Minister (Shas) Meshulam Nahari logged in 447 hours, and in 117th place, Deputy Minister (Shas) Yitzchak Cohen with 410 hours.
