Protests continued this week on Route 38, the new expansion project on the road feeding from the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Highway to Beit Shemesh. Those involved in the protests insist the ongoing construction is compromising ancient bones in the area.
Organizers report that of the protesters sustained two fractured ribs and is hospitalized, while three “prominent avreichim” were taken into custody by police.
