IDF Soldier Killed As Kassams Continue to Pound Israel


idf injured.jpgAn IDF soldier was killed this morning during a routine patrol along the security fence in the central Gaza Strip, near the Israeli town of Kissufim. The soldier, who served as a tracker, was killed when an explosive device was detonated near the jeep in which he was seated.  Another soldier was severely injured and two other soldiers  were lightly injured during the incident. The three were evacuated to the Soroka hospital in Beersheba to receive medical treatment. The families of the soldiers have been notified.

Since the early morning, at least ten Kassam rockets have been fired towards Israel. One rocket scored a direct hit on a Sderot home, causing severe damage – but Boruch Hashem no serious injuries. During today’s operations, the IDF hit a terror operative involved in the launching of Kassam rockets this morning.

  1. If you think about it there is no strategic value in shooting Kasams.

    It is really for their ego purposes.

    We should look to the wisdom of Gidyon who calmed down the angry Ephraim tribes egos and prevented a fight.

    Fighting is less disgusting when you feel like you are makeing progress and it is part of bringing the kingdome of Hashem to the Goyim.

    I would recommend takeing and holding a buffer zone from around sederout and handling the situation in a way that Gazans who are doubting what they are in will be tilted in the direction of wanting to defect and become Israelis.

    This is part of the US problem in Iraq. This is a Torah total war for hearts and minds against the spirit of death.

  2. Eliyahu, the purpose of Kassams is to intimidate the Israelis into submitting to their demands.

    And G-d help us if Gazans become citizens of Israel. The Arabs will outnumber Jews, and make Israel into Palestine in a few years.
