A Jerusalem police spokesman on Monday, 14 Sivan, announced the arrest of a suspect believed to have played a role in the attack of an IDF soldier who entered Meah Shearim.
On May 21, 2018, police received a call for a soldier and his father that drove into Meah Shearim and found themselves surrounded by Chareidi extremists, who began cursing them and banging on the vehicle and its windows. This was followed by eggs and other objects, which were tossed in their direction.
Police on Sunday night arrived in Beit Shemesh and arrested the 19-year-old in the attack. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday. Police add that additional arrests are expected.

Lock him up and throw away the key!
I would go so far as to say that he be locked up with Palestinian prisoners but I’m not sure if that might be the right step. In Parshas Sh’mos Moshe would have called him Rasha!
And of course, in Parshas Shemos it says that the suspect should be thrown into jail and to throw away the key. Who needs courts of law? All Chareidi suspects are automatically guilty, right?
I think he means that the suspect should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and if found guilty should be given the maximum sentence. Personally I think that for Chareidim to attack IDF soldiers is a Chillul HaShem. For that matter, for someone identifiable as Chareidi to attack anyone on the street is bringing shame on all of us. The Torah tells us to behave in a civilized way no matter what the circumstances. The world holds us to higher standards because HKB”H does.
