Border Police Find and Return Stolen Cement Pump and 71 Other Vehicles From Hebron Region

Since the beginning of 2017, more than 71 stolen vehicles have been identified and recovered by Israel’s Border Police who serve in the Hebron region of the Judean Command.

A stolen cement pump that was pinched from Mevaseret Zion was also recovered, and was valued at approximately one million shekel. The cement pup was first reported stolen on May 7th and according to the vehicle location technology company Ituran, it was located somewhere in the area around Hebron. Border police found a truck matching it’s description yesterday and verified that it was indeed the stolen vehicle.

Security forces confiscated the pump and arrested a suspect, a 50-year–old Arab man, who was the owner of the factory where the pump was found.

A police spokesperson said: “Partnership between the Israeli police and Ituran has brought about a large-scale campaign to locate and identify stolen vehicles that have been smuggled into the areas of Judea and Samaria by thieves. Security forces will act in all regions in an effort to curb this trend of vehicles being stolen and to prevent crime in Israel.”
