A Jerusalem police spokesman reported on Monday, 7 Sivan, that three suspects were taken into custody during the night on suspicion of taking part in throwing fireworks and rock-throwing attacks against police.
During the night, officers stationed at Shar Shechem were targeted with rocks. This led to the arrests of two eastern Jerusalem residents, ages 20 and 21. Fireworks were aimed directly at border police inside the Old City. One officer fired his weapon in the air when he felt in life-threatening danger. This led to the arrest of a 17-year-old and a probe into the officer firing his weapon. There were no injuries in any of the instances reported.
