A day after the Moetzas Gedolei Torah of Agudas Yisrael convened, on Monday morning, 29 Iyar, Rabbi Mordechai Stern, the secretary of the Council, sent a letter to the Knesset members demanding that they act on behalf of the Admorim for the young couples in the enactment of the Second Home Grant Law.
In his letter to the Knesset members, Rabbi Stern writes: “To the members of the Knesset of Agudas Yisrael, Shalom and Bracha. At a meeting of the Council of Torah Sages yesterday, the housing shortage for young couples was raised.”
Rav Stern details he was instructed to inform the Knesset representatives to act in any way possible to advance the legislation so young couples may receive a government grant towards buying a second hand and not a new apartment.
In the Monday morning editions of Hamodia and HaMevaser, they both write the admorim convened and discussed the government grant for young couples which do not buy new, but second-hand apartments and currently, entitled to assistance.
The Gerrer, Sanz, Vishnitz, Boyan, Vishnitz, and Moditzer Rebbes Shlita took part in the meeting along with Deputy Minister Yaakov Litzman, Deputy Minister Meir Porush and MKs Menachem Eliezer Moses and Yisrael Eichler and Bnei Brak Mayor Chanoch Zeibert.
The Belzer Rebbe is vacationing in Telze-Stone upon returning from his trip abroad. The Biala Rebbe is in Tzfat. The Slonimer Rebbe and Vishnitzer (Mercaz) did not attend due to medical issues and the Sadigura Rebbe is in the USA.
The admorim also discussed the need and importance to push through a new draft law that will protect the status of talmidei yeshivos and avreichim.

This is specifically Agudah i.e Chassidish, as opposed to Degel
Be Clear
Litzman led Agudah made this hoopla back in March, almost brought elections, and then had to climb down with a little gained and weaker bargaining position
The title makes no sense and is wrong
Proofreading, anyone?
