A number of Israeli youths were among the many mispallalim who visited Har Habayis on Sunday morning, 28 Iyar, Yom Yerushalayim.
The youths, including a son of MK (Bayit Yehudi) Betzalel Smotrich, pulled out and waved an Israeli flag, leading to being detained by police.
Their actions led to violence as police escorted the three off the site. The violence is usually aimed at compelling police to close the site to additional visits, which was not done in this case.
It should be noted that Gedolei Yisrael throughout the generations along with the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, have prohibited visiting Har Habayis as there is an Issur Kares.

It should be noted that Gedolei Yisrael throughout the generations along with the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, have prohibited Chillul Shabbos but that doesn’t seem to stop your average Israeli. There are differing views about ascending Har Habayis. Why are these youth, who are proud of their Yiddishkeit and who would never go up to Har Habayis if their Rabbonim said it was ossur, treated like scum while the average mechalel Shabbos Israeli in the IDF is regarded as a hero?
Stop confusing people. None of the religious visitors ever go into the areas of even ספק איסור כרת according to All shitos. And needless to say they go to mikveh and not wear leather shoes. The rest is all POLITICS!
