Head of Rechasim Hosts Deputy Minister Porush

Rabbi Yitzhak Reich, head of the Rechasim Council, hosted Deputy Minister of Education Meir Porush on Tuesday afternoon, 23 Iyar.

Rabbi Reich briefed Rabbi Porush on the extensive Torah activity in the city. He then presented the construction plan that was approved in the Givat Haparsa neighborhood and will include about 2000 housing units, which helped solve the current housing shortage among the chareidi public and discussed the marketing and new communities that will come to live in the neighborhood.

The Deputy Minister also updated the special additions of about 87,000 sq.m. of public institutions and 105,000 sq.m. of commercial and employment space.

Afterwards they discussed the educational development in the Rechasim. Rabbi Reich reported that the number of children in the city grew from year to year in the city, and that many other structures were needed, for this reason three new kindergartens were being built, which would provide a temporary solution to the momentum in the city.

During the visit, Rabbi Porush met with parents who encountered bureaucratic difficulties in the Ministry of Education in the field of accessibility and heard their problems. Rabbi Porush telephoned the professionals to deal with the issues addressed to him and said that he was closely following the issues addressed to him.

Rabbi Porush praised Rabbi Reich for his dedication to the residents. “I am glad to see the development momentum in the city. I am happy to see the momentum of development in the city. There is considerable investment and thinking from the head of the council, who is working day and night to increase the housing units in favor of the housing shortage that exists in Rechasim.” Rabbi Porush also emphasized the issue of education close to his heart: “We can see the decline in small details and the Council’s great investment in education, especially special education, and for children with disabilities.

The two decided to continue joint activities for the benefit of the residents.
