Just a day after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu revealed that Israel had the secrets of Iran’s nuclear program, a new Knesset poll on Channel 20 shows that the Likud party is strengthening and opening a double-digit gap over the Yesh Atid party.
According to a survey conducted by the Rafi Smith Institute, if elections were held today, the Likud led by Binyamin Netanyahu would have won the elections with 32 Knesset seats, and would have opened a huge gap over Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid Party, which has 19 Knesset seats, 13 Less than the Likud.
The survey also shows that a few months after his election to head the Labor party, Avi Gabbai is not the one who will save the party. According to the poll, the Machane Tzioni party under his leadership loses half of its power in elections and receives only 12 Knesset seats as compared to its 24 seats today. The joint Arab list also receives a similar number, 12.
The Bayit Yehudi party, headed by Naftali Bennett, has recorded a slight strengthening from the last elections and has received 10 Knesset seats, up two from today. The Kulanu party received 7 seats (down 3 from today), Yahadut Hatorah 7 (up 1 from today), Meretz 7 (up 2), Yisrael Beitenu 6 (Same as today) Shas 4 (down 3), Orli Levy 4, and the Yachad party headed by Eli Yishai on the border of getting into Knesset with 3-4 seats.
