Minister of Culture & Sports (Likud) Miri Regev visited Meron on Tuesday, ahead of Lag B’Omer, using the opportunity to speak with ZAKA commander Yehuda Meshi-Zahav, who was involved in final preparations for Lag B’Omer.

Mesh-Zahav spoke with Regev, explaining his organization’s activities to her and how they distribute tens of thousands of identity cards for children, part of the Lag B’Omer program to locate missing children. The organization also distributes tens of thousands of bottles of water to the tzibur at large.
